PRESIDENTIAL CONCRETE

Presidential concrete is our high-end Concrete. With stamped concrete, we combine natural stone to create bands/borders and more intricate patterns. Clients pay an extra price for our Presidential package, but the results are outstanding!! The art of creating contrasting bands, and circles as focal points using either concrete or natural stones like Flagstone and Connecticut Bluestone in combination with our stamped concrete is a part of our Presidential package. (Additional patterns, circles, stones are available. Contact ACE for details)

CUSTOM CONCRETE

Stamped concrete is our most popular Custom Concrete. With stamped concrete, it is possible to get the look of stone with the durability and cost-effectiveness of concrete. To do this, the wet concrete is “stamped” with a texture mat that has a reverse imprint of the surface of stone, brick, tile, or even wood. The customer selects 2 colors for the concrete. The “Base Color” is the dominant color, and is integral within the concrete mix. The choice of Base Color influences the cost of the project. The green and red base color additives are actually more expensive than the concrete itself. The "Highlight Color" is added at the time the concrete is stamped, and gives the concrete “highlights”. The choice of Highlight Color does not change the cost of the project significantly. These highlights can be more or less subtle depending upon the customer’s likes/dislikes. The Base Color and Highlight Color work together in much the same way that a person's natural hair color can be highlighted to achieve a distinct look. The customer also selects one of 6 stamping patterns that are shown above. (Additional patterns are available. Contact ACE for details.)

Exposed aggregate is a lower cost Custom Concrete finish that is popular for sidewalks and driveways. The exposed aggregate look is achieved by using a layer of small pebbles that are embedded in the concrete, but are not covered by the concrete. There are 2 popular types of exposed aggregate, “Pami” and “Salt and Pepper”. Pami is a multi-color combination of stones with brown being the single largest color. Salt and Pepper is a combination of black and white stones. Exposed aggregate can also be combined with brick borders to produce different looks.

STANDARD CONCRETE

Standard concrete is our least expensive service package. It is popular for sidewalks and driveways when budget considerations do not allow for Custom Concrete. However, there are two upgrades available for Standard Concrete. Colored Concrete or a Salt Finish can be added for as little as $1/SF over the price of standard concrete.

Colored concrete is an inexpensive way to upgrade from generic grey concrete. The color is integral within the concrete, so the concrete will retain its color even if it is chipped. The inclusion of colored concrete can have a dramatic effect when the concrete color is coordinated with the color of the house such as matching the color of the stucco or trim.

A salt finish is also an inexpensive way to upgrade from generic grey concrete. A salt finish can be added to grey or colored concrete and is achieved by rolling rock salt into the concrete at the right time. The concrete is later washed to remove/dissolve the salt, which leaves small holes in the concrete where the salt was.

SEALING CONCRETE

Sealing the concrete is right final step for any custom concrete job! Sealing the concrete will give the concrete that “wet look” that really brings out the beauty of the concrete. It also preserves the beauty of the concrete for a much longer period of time since the sealant blocks out harmful rays from the sun and prevents dirt and oil from being absorbed into the concrete. For a limited time only, ACE will seal all concrete absolutely FREE!!
